At Apex Disaster Management, we don't just hire anyone. We seek out people with deep expertise in repairing and remediating the damage caused by fire, water and mold. But we also look for people who have a service mind-set, care about doing a great job and want to be part of a growing enterprise.

Jim Clarke

Owner, Founder & President

Jim founded Apex Disaster Management in 2013 with a vision of providing the highest level of customer service in the business. While he is responsible for business development and managing the overall direction of the company, he also gets his hands dirty helping his team on assignments.

Jim has more than 15 years of experience and is active in the Society of Cleaning and Restoration Technicians (SCRT) serving as the Vice President of membership and president of the Georgia Chapter. He is also actively involved with the Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Contractors Association and is IICRC-certified in water mitigation, mold remediation and commercial structural drying.

When he is not working, he indulges with coffee ice cream, is an avid guitar player and dreams of one day attending the Montreaux Jazz Festival.

Ashley square

Ashley Cavender

General Manager

Ashley is a born problem solver, which is one of the reasons why she is so good at her job of general manager. With more than 10 years of experience in the restoration industry, and 20 years experience in construction, she appreciates being a part of a team that spends every day working to make those that have been hit by a disaster whole again. Her strong customer service, project management and communication skills allow her to keep all involved parties aware and always informed, so the work is done efficiently and thoroughly.

She earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Kennesaw State University, which she uses daily in her work with customers, insurance adjusters and contractors.

Outside of work, Ashley enjoys playing ALTA tennis, going to concerts and spending time with her family. Her favorite vacation is relaxing on the beach and looks forward to making it to Hawaii one day soon.

Justin square

Justin Williams

Operations Manager

With more than 13 years in the restoration industry, and the last 8 of them as an operations manager, Justin is one of the best in the business. He knows that no two days are alike, but each one will teach lessons that can be used in the future. His industry knowledge and empathy allow him to respond quickly and in the best way to meet a customer's needs.

Justin carries IICRC certifications in mold, water, fire, odor control, asbestos, OSCHA 60, AEO, CPR and blood born pathogens. He is committed to learning all he can so he is never surprised in a disaster and can continue helping people in one of their greatest times of need.

Outside of work you are likely to find Justin and his family on or near water. In fact, he spends most of his weekends on his boat fishing and has even participated in some fishing tournaments. It makes sense that he originally wanted to be a marine biologist as a kid!

Lesa square

Lesa Clarke

Chief Financial Officer

As our CFO, Lesa is responsible for running the financial side of our business. This includes planning, implementation, managing and running of all the company's finance activities, including business planning, bookkeeping, budgeting and forecasting. Additionally, she also serves as our risk manager, seeing to it that we are properly insured and covered for the work we do for our customers. With 30 years of experience as a licensed insurance agent and commercial insurance account manager, she understands the often complicated world of insurance and keeps us covered at all times.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors biking and playing tennis. She wanted to be a ballerina when she was a child and is still a pretty good dancer. She hopes to one day visit Scotland.

Ivy McMillan

Office Administrator

Ivy is the person that keeps things humming along smoothly at Apex Disaster Management. She is also likely the first person you will talk to when you call and will get right to work ensuring that your home or commercial building fire, water or mold issue is prioritized and addressed as quickly as possible.

Ivy has been with Apex for three years. Prior to joining Apex, she worked in a similar role for a concrete testing company, so she knows the building industry very well. She is also IICRC-certified in water damage.

Originally from Valley Stream, NY, she now calls Atlanta home. While she prefers the Georgia weather, she does miss the New York cuisine. She and her family enjoy finding new adventures and would love to one day take a trip to Holland.
